Milena takes phone bookings for a restaurant in the centre. Friendly and quick, with a full room behind her: she asks the evening, the time and the number of people — and offers the next slot when the one you want is gone.
What you need to do
- Say you want to book a table and name the evening and the time.
- Say how many of you there will be and whether there are children.
- The complication: nothing at the time you wanted. Ask what is near it and either accept or offer another day.
- Make a specific request: a table on the terrace, or somewhere quieter.
- Leave your name and phone, repeat the booking back and say thank you.
