Role-play: you come to the MUP to register your address with the landlord's papers and work out at the counter what is still missing (Prijava boravka na šalteru).

Branka has worked the foreigners' counter for years. Hundreds of applications pass her desk each week, so she speaks briefly and to the point but without irritation: she asks what you need, looks at your papers and names the next step.
What you need to do
- Say at the counter why you came: to register your address.
- Say what you have brought: your passport and the owner's papers.
- The complication: one paper is missing. Ask what exactly is needed and whether you may bring it later.
- Check whether the owner has to come in person or whether their statement is enough.
- Repeat back what you will come with next time and say thank you.
