What you need to do
- Ask about the car: year, mileage, how many owners.
- Ask what has been replaced and what has been repaired.
- Point out a flaw you noticed, calmly and without accusation.
- The complication: you are hurried — 'someone else is interested'. Do not bite; say you will think.
- Make your offer and explain how you arrived at it.
